Senior Platform Consultant, Addepar
Bring your Addepar expertise to complex implementations and conversions, leading projects and client relationships while staying close to the work.
Position Overview
Ellevate is looking for a Senior Platform Consultant with deep Addepar expertise to lead and oversee complex engagements. This includes new Addepar implementations and the onboarding of M&A teams joining a firm and migrating to Addepar. You’ll coordinate timelines, stakeholders, and data workstreams, and keep projects on track from kickoff through go-live and beyond.
This role suits someone who combines technical platform knowledge with strong project management discipline and a genuinely personable, client-first approach. Our clients often come to us during periods of significant change. The right candidate builds trust quickly, communicates clearly, and makes complex projects feel manageable.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Conversion Leadership
- Partner with clients to design an Addepar setup that runs effectively and efficiently today and scales as their business grows, including through M&A activity.
- Serve as the liaison between the client and Addepar, making sure configuration decisions are clearly documented, correctly executed, and validated.
- Lead implementations and team conversions end to end, from discovery and data mapping through testing, training, and go-live.
Hands-On Platform Execution
- Work directly in Addepar at a granular, user level, configuring settings, building reports, setting up billing, and troubleshooting data issues.
- Partner with internal team members to hit deadlines and deliverables, while being willing to complete hands-on work yourself when needed.
Project Management & Oversight
- Build and maintain detailed project plans and trackers across multiple concurrent engagements.
- Coordinate client teams, custodians, Addepar, and vendors so every workstream stays aligned and on schedule.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for client stakeholders, from operations staff to firm leadership.
- Guide clients through the change management that comes with M&A transitions and new platform adoption.
Process & Practice Development
- Contribute to Ellevate’s implementation and conversion methodologies, templates, and SOPs.
- Stay current on Addepar product enhancements and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Required
- 7+ years of hands-on experience working in Addepar, including configuration, data management, reporting, and billing.
- Multiple years of project management experience, with a proven ability to plan, track, and deliver complex, multi-workstream projects.
- Strong working knowledge of RIA operations, including portfolio accounting, performance reporting, custodial data feeds, and billing.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. You’re highly personable and comfortable working with clients at every level.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to data accuracy.
Preferred
- Experience leading or supporting platform implementation projects, particularly Addepar implementations.
- Experience with M&A integrations in wealth management, such as onboarding breakaway or acquired teams, consolidating data, and harmonizing processes across firms.
- Familiarity with other wealth management platforms (Orion, Black Diamond, Tamarac) and experience converting data between them.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, Monday.com, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reconciliation, and mapping.
- Consulting or client-facing service delivery background.
- PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, success means clients reach go-live confidently with clean, reconciled data and a setup built to support their growth. M&A teams transition onto Addepar with minimal disruption to advisors and their end clients. Projects run predictably, with stakeholders who always know where things stand. And you become the consultant clients ask for by name.

Platform Specialist (Billing Operations)
Put your financial services operations experience to work supporting advisor billing, from fee setup and billing cycles to audits and reconciliation.
Position Overview
We are looking for a hands-on, operationally minded Platform Specialist to join our consulting team supporting one of the largest RIA aggregator clients in the country. This is a practitioner role—built for someone who wants to get into the work, not just observe it. You will be trained on the end-to- end advisor billing process and quickly become a productive contributor, handling real billing volume from day one and building toward full ownership of client billing relationships. The right candidate is detail-oriented, operationally driven, and motivated by the satisfaction of getting billing right—accurately, on time, and at scale. This role offers a clear and deliberate growth path: from learning the fundamentals of billing setup
and execution, to running billing cycles independently, to owning a portfolio of advisor relationships end to end.
Key Responsibilities
Billing Schedule Setup & Configuration
- Learn how to build and configure billing schedules within the platform, including fee structure selection (AUM, flat, tiered, blended), billing frequency, and proration rules.
- Associate billing schedules with the correct client accounts and advisor households, ensuring accurate mapping across custodians and account types.
- Work through real billing setups under the guidance of senior team members, progressing to independently configuring schedules for new and existing advisor relationships.
- Validate that billing parameters are accurately reflected in the system prior to any billing cycle run, catching configuration errors before they impact clients.
Billing Cycle Execution & Extracts
- Assist in running billing extracts at the close of each billing period, following established procedures t0 pull fee data accurately and completely.
- Learn to stage, review, and submit billing runs, understanding how extract outputs feed downstream processes including custodial fee sweeps and client reporting.
- Develop comfort working with billing extract files—reviewing outputs in Excel or platform- native tools to verify data integrity before processing.
- Progress toward independently managing billing cycle execution for assigned advisor relationships with minimal oversight.
Audit & Accuracy Review
- Perform systematic audits of billing outputs, comparing scheduled fees against actual charges to identify discrepancies, missing accounts, or incorrect calculations.
- Investigate and resolve billing exceptions, working cross-functionally with platform, operations, and advisor teams to correct errors promptly.
- Track and document audit findings, contributing to ongoing quality control efforts and helping the team identify systemic issues requiring upstream fixes.
- Develop a strong eye for what ‘correct’ looks like across different billing models, building the pattern recognition needed to catch issues quickly at volume.
Process Documentation & Knowledge Building
- Document billing workflows, configuration steps, and audit procedures as you learn them, creating reference materials that support team consistency and onboarding.
- Contribute to a living knowledge base of billing scenarios, exception types, and resolution approaches encountered across the client engagement.
- Participate in process improvement discussions, bringing observations from daily billing work to help refine procedures and reduce manual effort over time.
Client & Advisor Relationship Support
- Support communication with advisor offices on billing questions, schedule changes, and billing cycle status—building familiarity with their setups and preferences.
- Work toward becoming a dependable point of contact for a defined set of advisor relationships, owning their billing accuracy and cycle delivery end to end.
- Collaborate with senior consultants on escalations, advisor onboarding, and fee restructuring requests, gaining exposure to the full breadth of the client engagement.
Growth Path
This role is structured around a clear progression:
- Months 1–3: Immersive learning—shadow billing cycles, assist with schedule setup, and begin running audits with oversight.
- Months 3–6: Active contributor—independently handling billing setups, running extracts, and owning audit workflows for a subset of advisor relationships.
- Months 6–12: Relationship owner—serving as the primary billing point of contact for a defined set of advisors, managing their full billing lifecycle with accountability for accuracy and timeliness.
- 12+ months: Expanded scope—potential to grow into senior specialist, billing team lead, or broader client relationship ownership depending on performance and interest.
Qualifications
Required
- 2–5 years of experience in financial services operations, wealth management, fintech, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of advisory fee structures and billing concepts (AUM-based, flat, tiered, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail with a track record of catching errors and maintaining accuracy in data-heavy work.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; comfortable reviewing and manipulating tabular data to audit outputs.
- Organized, self-directed, and able to manage recurring operational workflows alongside ad hoc requests.
- Clear communicator—able to work effectively with advisor offices, internal teams, and senior consultants.
Preferred
- Prior experience with RIA billing or portfolio management platforms (e.g., Orion, Tamarac, Addepar, Black Diamond, or similar).
- Familiarity with custodial fee sweep processes or advisor-to-client fee billing at a broker- dealer or RIA.
- Exposure to billing reconciliation, fee auditing, or operational quality control workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation
- 401(k) Match: Company-supported retirement benefits that help you invest in your future while building your career with us.
- Flexible Work Environment: A flexible environment built around trust, accountability, and giving experienced professionals the autonomy to do their best work.

- Mentorship from experienced Platform Consultants and Senior Platform Consultants.
- Get real, hands-on billing experience with one of the largest and most complex RIA aggregator engagements in the market.
- Join a team that values contributors who take ownership—your work will have direct, visible impact on advisor and client outcomes.
- A structured growth path with the expectation—and support—to advance into relationship ownership and leadership.
- Build a specialized skill set in RIA billing operations that is increasingly valued across the wealth
management industry.
